Today, while looking for a book in my library, I came across an old diary. And in it gems: memories from my vacation!
I had completely forgotten that when I was not yet living in Rhodes, I wrote down all my stays on the island in a notebook.
I came across notes from 2014, when I decided to fly to Rhodes alone, to relax in the bosom of nature, in the charming village of Lachania.
The description from 17.09.2014 brought back sweet memories, but also surprised me a lot with the descriptions of what was happening around me at that time. And why? Because I was always bad at descriptions at school, and when I had an essay, for me it was the so-called: “The Sorrows of Young Verter”! 😉
And suddenly such a shock, because these are my notes!
I quote below and by the way I recommend visiting this beautiful and peaceful place in Rhodes.
Or maybe someone even knows this place from the photo, and also experienced their vacation in Lachania? Feel free to write in the comments about it!
I will definitely go back there!
“Birds are chirping, the day is timidly waking up. I look out the window and see the sun emerging from behind the trees. The first rays fall on huge cacti, which already have ripe fruit, prickly pears, which I will soon use for breakfast! Lol 😉
Am I dreaming of all this?

I pinched myself once, and twice, but nothing disappears from this landscape! I am in a Greek paradise called Lachania!
I make some tea, take some yogurt out of the fridge, add some prickly pears, and add some fragrant, local bread and breakfast is ready!
I leave a traditional Rhodian house, sit under a tree and enjoy the silence, greenery and Rhodian flavors.
After breakfast, rest and a light nap in a hammock, under the trees… I am intoxicated by the music of singing birds…
And then something roars!

To the sounds of birds, the rustle of the wind and probably the sound of owls, the neighbors’ donkey’s roar echoed! He he he 😉

I love this place, old Friends and new people I’ve just met.”
